The photographer has a signature bright and airy style, but the couple's mood board called for darker, moodier tones. The challenge was finding a natural middle ground that honored both the photographer's brand and the client's vision.
The photographer also wanted a set of black-and-white and film-vintage duplicates to complement the classic color edits, plus a Lightroom catalog for future tweaks.
I developed a custom color grade that sits between the photographer's airy aesthetic and the couple's darker mood board. The result is a natural but slightly deeper look that captures the mood of the session while keeping skin tones authentic and true to life.
Although the project scope was 50 images, I delivered 84 photos total, including black-and-white copies for a large portion of the gallery as a bonus because they complemented this particular style perfectly.
"I ADORE the work I got back. It maintains skin tone and style, is nice and bright, and he even included extra images in black and white for me. Really pleased with the overall result."Ava, Photographer
The photographer was thrilled with the balance between her signature style and the couple's mood board. The bonus B&W edits were a welcome surprise that added depth to the final gallery. The project earned a 5-star review praising professionalism, attention to detail, and visual appeal.
